What else do I do?

After leaving my primary teaching career of 21 years, to start my own business, the one thing that I was missing was working with children. Therefore, the decision to start running children's cookie decorating workshops was a very easy one! 

I currently provide workshops during school holidays in place such as Mister Twisters Soft Play And Jump Centre (Follingsby Park), Lanchester Community Cafe and The Mood Food (Birtley). These sessions are suitable right from preschool to 16 years.

The smiles on the children's faces throughout these sessions make my job very fulfilling!

I am so lucky to work in collaboration with my good friend, Lynne from Forget Me Not Art. Together, we provide Cookie and Craft workshops for adults. Throughout our themed monthly sessions, everyone has the opportunity to decorate cookies then create fabulous crafts. These usually take place in a fabulous tearoom in Dipton (The Burrow Licensed Tearoom), but can can also be organised at other venues as organised events; for example WI bespoke workshops.

Since the beginning of August '23 I have been given an amazing opportunity to lead workshops for Pimm's and Needles CIC. These workshops run across the North East and North Yorkshire and are available to ladies from 16 and above. Alongside my work with Pimm's and Needles, I also lead workshops for the beautiful Pimm's and Needles Silver ladies. These are funded groups (usually free) aimed specifically for the over 60s.  I feel very privileged to be part of these fantastic social events.  

I provide workshops for local hubs such as Embells Community Support Project and One Point Service. This can be cookie decorating workshops or healthy eating workshops designed to promote healthy choices in a fun environment.
